Lake dress & Mustafar updates

Danielle’s lake dress is nearly done; I spent the afternoon dying the chiffon. Interesting experience… i did it a different way and for the most part i’m pleased with the results. The only thing i was disappointed in was the blue… it faded a LOT, especially at the bottom, so when I dye mine tomorrow I may put the bottom of hers in as well to try and get the colour a little deeper.
It’s much better than version 2.0… the main thing I corrected was the sleeves, they are much, much better. the underdress is also fuller.

At the moment, chase is making the molds for my padme mustafar jewelry.
Speaking of jewelry, I made the little brooch that goes on the tie in the front of the lake dress, it’s not 100% accurate but I love how it came out. I tried it on Danielle’s and it looks really good.

I’ll take pics of Lake Dress 2.5 (Danielle’s Dress) later tonight.

It is miserable here right now. We’ve got the AC pumping but it’s just so hot. It says its only 92 right now but it feels much hotter, it’s muggy. It’s hard to work in these conditions; sometime tonight i’ve got to try to start packing what I can.
It reminds me – I think it was year before last – when I was trying to get ready for San Diego and our AC went out, so we’re trying to finish my costumes with no air in this heat… now that was horrible!
